Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs - Feedback

09/20/2010 - 02:35 pm Category: Screenshots

We would like to thank everyone for the overwhelming Feedback we have received after the press announcement.

Since we are not able to answer every single mail due to the sheer amount of them, here are a few new facts about the project:

We are currently working on two versions: one for Nintendo's 3DS and another for the Apple iPhone. The 3DS version is being developed in cooperation with Denaris Entertainment Software, while the iPhone version will be developed by another team. We have decided upon 3DS as the primary platform for Saber Rider, because this system offers really incredible performance and features the unique 3D screen. It simply appears to be the best fit for what we have in mind for the project. To all fans of the series: you will not be disappointed. All 4 of the Star Sheriffs, 4 vehicles and of course Ramrod will be playable, and many of the other characters will make an appearance.

All in-game dialogue will be spoken by the original voices of the TV series, with Ekkehard Belle reprising his position as director. The style of the 3DS version will carefully update the show's original art, while the iPhone version sports a style closer to the original series.

If everything works well, we hope to soon announce Saber Rider for XBLA or PSN. We are still looking for a publisher to produce the 3DS version.

As soon as there are any news, you will of course find them here. In the mean time, all present and future fans of Saber Rider should take a look at the two new Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs "Lost Episodes" DVDs by Anime House. They are certainly worth it!
